To tell you the truth when i first started quilling even i didnt know what it was all about...quilling...umm..but now, after 2 years of doing it, i can tell you that it is a beautiful,tough(anybody can tell you THAT)and intricate art of paper folding. All one needs is an enormous imagination and the will to begin..after that it is real fun...
In India not many people now about this art and i have yet to meet someone who does it here!! God..a population of 1 billion..and i'v yet to meet a person who quills in the country!! Anyway..for those who know zilch about this craft...check out these pictures i'm posting of the work i'v done.I mainly make quilling cards but you can make things from photo frames to show pieces and miniature dolls, etc. All you need as I said is a vivid imagination! Hope these pictures perk up your interest...i'm quite an amateur but you'l be able to get a hang of the work involved..and how the end result is. It seems quite difficult in the beginning but perseverence is the name of thy art!

I had a cousin in India who did some work like this -- I did not know it was called quilling. He had done colorful thread on black paper and abstract designs.
I never saw anyone do this again. This is a lost art so do keep it up!
